Topping out ceremony for High Park in Berlin

Already 98 percent of the apartments have been sold

gsp STÄDTEBAU celebrated with 200 guests the topping for the High Park building in Berlin. Among the guests were not only those involved in the construction work but also many new owners of an apartment in the building. Enjoying the great weather many guests took the opportunity to get to the roof terrace and to enjoy the 360 degree view of Berlin.

The High Park closes the last gap between buildings at Potsdamer Platz in the former historical center of Berlin. The new building is located next to Mendelsohn Bartholdy Park. It has two towers, both with 14 floors and both about 50 meter high.

Marketing and sales of the apartments has been executed by Zabel Property AG exclusively. Within 12 months 161 of the 165 condominiums were sold to German and international buyers. Among the buyers are both locals as well as entrepreneurs from the German SME sector and investors from abroad. However, half of the condo buyers come from Germany.

The real estate industry was monitoring the project development High Park carefully, as the new building serves as an indicator for successful development of residential high-rise buildings in Berlin in the mid and upper segment.

With High Park a total of 165 condominiums will be created. The two to six room apartments offer space between 31 and 270 square meters. Thus High Park offers the entire spectrum between convenient apartment and spacious penthouse. In addition the new building will include 38 serviced apartments and nine shops. At the end of the year 2017 construction for High Park will be completed.

A special technical characteristic is the fact that High Park was implemented as an overbuild on top of the Berlin subway. The entire construction had to be realized by design and construction in a way that tracks won’t shift and metro operations could be operated without disruption.
